Mommy Makeover

Conveniently located to serve Niagara Falls, Buffalo, and surrounding areas in NY

Also known as post-pregnancy surgery

If you’re unhappy with the changes your body has experienced as a result of pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding, you may be interested in a mommy makeover in Niagara Falls. A mommy makeover is any combination of cosmetic procedures that restore your before-pregnancy appearance, typically focusing on the breasts and abdomen.

A typical makeover might include a tummy tuck, a breast procedure such as an augmentation, lift or reduction and liposuction of the legs, arms or trunk. The term “mommy makeover” may be new, but the procedures involved have a long, successful, and safe track record.

Triple-board-certified clinician Dr. Robert J. Perry has been listed as one of America’s Top Doctors® since 2008 and in the Best Doctors of America® list since 2005. His years of experience with a plethora of cosmetic procedures make him an ideal choice for your mommy makeover.

When to Consider a Mommy Makeover

  • If your pregnancy has negatively affected the size and shape of your breasts
  • If you’re distressed about your sagging tummy and stretch marks
  • If pockets of fat on your waist, abdomen, arms or thighs do not improve with diet and exercise

Related Procedures

Many women who consider a mommy makeover also consider upper arm liftfacelift, breast augmentation or other related procedures.

The inclusion of these procedures in your mommy makeover surgery should be discussed during your consultation with Dr. Perry.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A mommy makeover surgical session varies in time based on the procedures being included. Generally, they require several hours to perform, so it’s best to prepare for a longer procedure.

General anesthesia is typically used at the start, since it is an extensive procedure. Incisions are then made in the treatment areas. The desired procedures are performed, and at the end of the surgical session, stitches are used to close the incisions. The incisions are then dressed.

MOMMY MAKEOVER RECOVERY

During your consultation, Dr. Perry will discuss the details of the mommy makeover recovery process and will give you post-surgical care instructions. Following these instructions minimizes the chance of complications and allows you to achieve the best mommy makeover results possible.

Pain medication will be prescribed to make the recovery process easier. Swelling and bruising will be present but are temporary in nature.

Wearing elastic compression garments will be necessary as part of healing. These garments support the temporarily weakened tissues as they heal and encourage tight skin. They also lead to reduced swelling.

It will be necessary to take time off from your job while you rest and recover. Avoid physically taxing activities like sports for several weeks to ensure proper incision healing.

During a follow-up appointment, Dr. Perry will check to make sure that the healing process is going as expected without complications. Any stitches that need to be removed will be taken out.

MOMMY MAKEOVER COST

The procedures included in your customized mommy makeover will determine its price, as will the length of the surgical session and the amount of tissue removed. For those who may be worrying about mommy makeover cost, we offer financing through Prosper Healthcare Lending.
